Starting with Application Needs

At Polytech, we consider masterbatch formulation, processing performance and the needs of the finished product. Through appropriate material selection, consistent pigment dispersion, processing aids and UV stabilizer solutions, we aim to help customers improve processing and reduce avoidable material waste. Product documentation and application testing guide the continued development of our solutions.
Starting With Application Needs

Formulations Matched to Materials and Applications

Polytech has established a comprehensive standard testing process to ensure every delivered masterbatch is safe, eco-friendly, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Dispersion and Opacity

White Masterbatch

Dispersion and Opacity

PT1096 combines rutile titanium dioxide with a low-density polyethylene carrier for applications including PE blown and cast films. PT1165 is a white masterbatch for PET, with applications including biaxially oriented PET film, sheet and injection-molded products. Grade selection should consider the base resin, dosage and finished-product thickness, with trials to confirm the required whiteness, opacity and processing performance.
Matching Resin and Application

Color Masterbatch

Matching Resin and Application

Color masterbatch selection involves shade, pigment dispersion and resin compatibility. PT8178 khaki masterbatch, for example, contains rutile titanium dioxide, organic pigments and low-density polyethylene. It is suitable for applications including PE protective and laminated films, and for coloring PE, PP and PO materials. The final shade and dosage should be confirmed using samples made under the intended processing conditions.
Fluorine Free Processing Aids

Functional Masterbatch

Fluorine-Free Processing Aids

Polytech offers fluorine-free PPA masterbatches. According to its product documentation, PT5149 is designed to reduce melt fracture and die buildup in film processing, including cast film. Performance depends on the resin, equipment and processing conditions, and the appropriate use should be established through production trials. Functional Masterbatch: UV Stabilizer Solutions Polytech offers UV stabilizer masterbatches for PE and PP products, including PT5020-2 for PE processing and PT5022 for PP processing. Product documentation identifies dosage and finished-product thickness as factors affecting aging resistance. Performance should be verified for the intended application
