Hygiene & Personal Care
Suitable for films used in diapers, sanitary napkins, and other hygiene products, including breathable films and packaging films.
Films for hygiene products typically require good color uniformity, pigment dispersion, film surface quality, and stable continuous processing. Polytech provides tailored masterbatch solutions based on the film material, thickness, and product appearance requirements, helping reduce issues such as gels, fisheyes, film breakage, color variation, and uneven film surfaces.
01Dispersion & Fibers
Lightweight nonwovens used in diapers and sanitary products can reveal small color specks or uneven shades. Masterbatches developed for fiber processing need good dispersion and a carrier suited to the spinning resin. A grade that works in a molded part should not be assumed suitable for a fine-fiber application.
02Coverage & Handfeel
White nonwovens and hygiene films may show more of the layer underneath when their basis weight or thickness is reduced. Evaluate white masterbatch in the actual material structure. The required coverage should be achieved without unacceptable changes in softness, strength or breathability where specified.
03Function & Compatibility
Different layers in a hygiene product have different jobs. A topsheet may need rapid liquid passage, while a barrier layer must resist penetration. Select any functional masterbatch for the specific layer and check its interaction with colorants. Material suitability for the intended skin contact also needs supporting documentation and finished-product evaluation.
